We are four filmmakers out of Philadelphia and on April 18, 2009, we will embark on a thirty-day road trip to see a game in all thirty major league ballparks across the country. No planes, no trains - just a car. Driving only. Whatever it takes. Every moment of the trip will be documented and the finished film will portray the troubles and the triumphs that were faced along the way.

The purpose of this project is to raise money and promote the Girls and Boys Clubs of America, the official charity of Major League Baseball. Proceeds from all DVD sales of the finished film will be shared with the Girls and Boys Clubs of America.

Baseball is like a rock in American culture, a building block of our country, an institution of stability and promise that has the power to unite. Buck O’Neil, while watching television, captured the spirit of baseball when he said this:

If Willie was up there, people would stop making laws.
They would stop running.
They would stop arguing about the little things…
Or big things.
No Democrat or Republican,
No black and white,
No North or South.
Everyone would just stop,
Watch the TV,
Watch Willie Mays make that catch.
That’s baseball, man.

The goals of this project are to spread the word about the charity we are endorsing, discover and create bonds through a common passion, and to tell the story of America’s pastime through the eyes of people like you and I - it’s true fans.
