First Round of Interviews

Published on March 31st, 2009

We wrapped up with our first round of interviews Sunday afternoon and they all turned out great.  Joey, Pedro, Emily, and myself talked about our expectations for the trip, why we took on this project, and why we love the game of baseball.  We also interviewed two Philadelphia locals - Dave and his 10 year old daughter, Tricia, who share baseball as a passion - about their rituals of going to the ballpark.  When Tricia would start speaking about the game, I would forget that she was only 10 because she has such strong understanding of the strategy behind it.  Their love of baseball is apparent and they make a great father/daughter team.

Welcome To The Site!

Since this is the first of many, many, many blog posts, I guess I should start out by saying welcome to the site!  And thank you for your interest in the project - it will certainly be an exciting one with no shortage of stories.  This blog and web site exist for the purpose of sharing those stories with everyone.

Before we leave for the road trip, we wanted to film interviews with the four of us to record our expectations, our hopes, our ambitions, and our concerns that we have for the journey.  Last night we set up a camera and some lights and taped our interviews and the material we got was great.

Over the weekend, we’ll be filming more interviews with friends and family about what they think of the trip.  We’ll also be asking them to share their memories of baseball.
